YOUR VAGINA IS WHAT YOU EAT.

V-Lifestyle

Did you know that the food you eat can alter your vagina’s pH level? Certain foods lowers the natural defenses provided by the good bacteria and increases the risk of infection.

If you’re a fan of artificial sugar, better think twice. Artificial sugar disrupts your gut flora, and when your gut flora isn’t healthy, your vagina isn’t either.1 And if you like Greek yogurt, then great! Yogurt with live and active cultures are probiotics and may be involved in helping the vagina maintain a healthy acidic pH and balance.2

But the foods you eat can influence that pH, changing the way your nether region smells.2 For instance, spices, onions, garlic, red meat, dairy, asparagus, broccoli, and alcohol can all affect the natural balance you’ve got going on, while fruits and fruit juices may turn things especially sweet.2

Just like not taking enough nutrients for specific function of your body, your vagina too needs that specific nutrient to nourish itself. Remember, you vagina shouldn’t be exempted when you plan to alter your diet for the better
